“Shanel” – written and performed by Taylor Bonds
The Power of Friendship-
A lot of focus is placed on the gifts inclusive friendships offer the individual with a disability. Taylor wrote this song in honor of Shanel, one of her best friends in high school who has Down syndrome. The sentiment shared in the lyrics highlight the gifts that Shanel in turn brought to Taylor’s life. The memories of their friendship are also displayed through the pictures accompanying this beautiful song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjxkpXZKnP8
